The Ngorongoro Crater is a geological marvel — the world's largest intact, inactive volcanic caldera, formed two to three million years ago when a giant volcano collapsed in on itself. Today, its 260-square-kilometre floor is a natural amphitheater of wildlife, often called the "Garden of Eden of Africa."
